Office Visits
The MFC office is closed to the general public, and visitation is not permitted. I'm a local, one-person company, and I operate out of my home-office. As much as I appreciate your enthusiasm for fire safety, business takes place at your house. Mailbox and front door drop-offs are also not permitted. All inbound mail must be post-marked, otherwise it will be discarded (or mailed back if there is a return address).
Weather-Related Considerations
Services requiring roof access are suspended throughout the winter until springtime: chimney cap installation, 2nd floor dryer vent cleaning, chimney sweeping services for both home-heating systems and free-standing wood stoves.
Chimney sweeping services for open-faced fireplaces, fireplace wood inserts, and factory-prefab fireplaces are performed 12 months out of the year.
Additionally, appointments will be rescheduled due to rain, snow, and high winds.
